For all you Shrek lovers, what can be better than this?! This is so cool, I am thinking about going to this myself. Shrek has been my go to animated movie since it first came out in 2001. It’s all about the first and second movie for me at least but I love Shrek and all the characters and this would be a great event to go to. Shrek is my childhood.
Espooky Market — Sylmar

🍺 Granada Hills Oktoberfest + Street Faire — Granada Hills

Granada Hills Street Fair
*I’ve been in the Street fair multiple times, it’s one of my favorite things to go to in October. I used to live right near this area so it was very flexible and walking distance for me. They have a lot of cars there because there’s a car show and in the Oktoberfest, I’ve never been to that actually but when we go, we see all the vendors and one time or two, we saw a domesticated owl there which was really cool.
🎬 Valleyween Cinema — Mission Hills
📅 Friday, October 30 | 5:30–10 PM
📍 Andres Pico Adobe Park
They’re showing Hotel Transylvania, with trick-or-treat stations, characters, a dance party, popcorn and drinks. Check on “My Valley Pass” for my details.

There’s food as well and a bunch of things to do for kids.
🍂 Forneris Farms fall season — Mission Hills
Pumpkin patch & corn mazes for all. The exact 2026 attraction dates should be checked before heading over, but this is an easy October photo/content outing.

🎃Nights of the Jack — Calabasas
Nights of the Jack at King Gillette Ranch .
This event looks really fun, you can take a long walk throughout this area and check out all the pumpkins, it really gives the Halloween, spooky fun vibes. Truthfully, I’ve never been to this event before however, it’s one of my go to on the list.
🕵️ A Killer Night in Studio City
An immersive 1950s murder-mystery dinner experience running through October 31. This one feels particularly good for a date night/content night.

👻 Los Angeles Haunted Hayride — Griffith Park
Los Angeles Haunted Hayride
📍 4730 Crystal Springs Dr., Griffith Park
📅 Select nights through November 1, 2026
🕡 Doors open around 6:30 PM
💰 Hayride-only tickets start around $34.99; General Admission starts around $49.99.
* i’ve been to this event once and it was really fun, the line was pretty long when we went a decade ago, however it was worth it, it gave a lot of adrenaline rush and it really gave off the spooky Halloween vibes kind of in a scary way and just being at Griffith Park is so worth it because Griffith Park is haunted, it is known to be haunted. So it’s a perfect place to go for this time of the year.
👻Halloween Horror Nights — Universal City : Halloween Horror Nights is the bigger, scarier option if you want a full Halloween night — haunted houses, scare zones, entertainment and the Terror Tram. Look on website for dates and tickets . Usually starts 7pm but there’s an early entrance for this event with a separate ticket. Ends i’ve been in this event a few times or more at 2am.
